vApps without VCD

Very new to orchestrator here, I'm trying to work with vCAC and vCNS, and it seems we need to land our vCAC deployed VMs into vApps so that they can inherit some pre-defined rules. So what I'd like to achieve is to use advanced services to let a user define a new vApp for their business unit and then a compute reservation can land those VMs into that vApp resource pool easily enough.

However, everything I'm seeing built-in to Orchestrator only shows me vcloud director vApp actions and workflows. Is there any existing workflows out there for using vApps against vSphere directly. Am I going about this the right way at all?

Maybe not : VCAC use the multi-machine model that does not leverage the vCenter vApp construct. To interact with vCAC IaaS you will certainly leverage the VCAC IaaS plug-in for vCAC that is preinstalled on the vCO embedded in VCAC 6 and available for download for vCAC 5.2
