unable to Edit workflow from the Standard Library

On page 16 of the vCenter Orchestrator Developer's Guide it describes how to Edit a workflow from the Standard Library by duplicating the workflow. I'm logged in as an administrator of VMware vCenter Orchestrator but when I right click a workflow in the Standard Library the duplicate workflow is greyed out. What could I be doing wrong?

Hi,

Pls verify from the vCenter Web Configuration, by checking if the logged user is an Administrator or not. You can check this from the test login tab from the LDAP tab.

I have logged in as an administrator and I am successfully able to duplicate the worklfow.

Please also confirm that you are using a vCenter Standard, Enterprise, or Enterprise + license for your vCenter Orchestrator server license.

I tested whether the account is an administrator and it is by using the test tab of the ldap configuration. It tested successfully.

We are appropriately licensed for vCenter if that is what you are referring to. We have vCenter Server 4 Standard licensing installand functional. Addtionally, all ESX hosts are appropriately licensed for vSphere 4 Enterprise or Enterprise+.

Actually, what I'm referring to is what type of vCenter license did you enter when you entered the VCO license. The reason I ask this is because the lowest level vCenter license does NOT allow you to Edit workflows. If, when entering your VCO license under the vCenter Orchestrator Configuration -> Licenses screen, you specified a vCenter 4 Standard, Enterprise, or Enterprise + license, then you should be able to edit and create workflows. However, if you entered a lower-level license, then you will only be able to READ workflows.

Please go into your vCenter Orchestrator Configuration (http://yourVCOserver:8282), then click into Licenses. Once there, click on "vCO server". Once you have clicked on that link, the license details should expand out. Please tell me what your "vCenter Orchestrator mode" line says.

I used our vCenter Serrver 4 Standard license and it installed successfully.
