"You do not have permissions to view this object" when trying to look at vRO workflows in web client

I just installed vRO 6.0.4 in my environment (vSphere 6, SRM 6.1, VR 6.1 - plugins for both installed). I connected it to SSO (using my administrator@vsphere.local account) successfully, added the vCenter from the vRO client and I can see all the workflows in vRO when I go thru the vSphere web client. However, when I click on any workflow I get a blank grey window with the error in the title of this message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey GS long time no talk.

Couple of quick question, when you logged into the webclient what account were you using and is that account a member of the vCO Admin group that you configured with SSO?

Did you set up permissions inside vRO?  When you are at the top level view in the workflows tab you will need assign at least view and inspect permissions to all of the people that will access the vRO workflows via the web-client.  This permission at the top of the tree gives the users the rights to log into the vRO from vSphere and then you can establish the execute permissions on the workflows presented in the context menu.

See if that helps you out

I think this is a known issue with vSphere Web client 6.0+ that happens when you eg. navigate workflow inventory tree.

Unfortunately, it is not clear yet what exactly is causing this issue.

Hey Steve!

This is my lab so I'm using the same account (administrator@vsphere.local) for both vRO and my normal access. I hadn't setup any permissions in vRO (didn't realize I needed to). When I did that it worked.

Thank you!
