help with finding action gethostfolder

Hi

I am new to orchestrator and I am trying to find my way around. I am working on orchestrator version 4.2.1 and I am trying to create a workflow to provision a datacentre then a cluster and finally add hosts to the cluster ( and I am going though the steps on the video http://vmwarelearning.com/b8R/integrating-with-vsphere-demo-part-2/) I know it not the same version of orchestrator but the steps should be the same?  when he get to part were he adds and action to get the hostfolder for the cluster creation I am unable to find the action gethostfolder from the action list?

Is this only availbe in the later version of orchestrator? is there a way of creating the action myself? If so could somebody please outline the steps and the javascript to do create it?

please help as i would really like to get this set up to demo the power in Orchestrator

Hi!

I don't know the video from mind, but if I remember right the Action used there is not in the Library (in neither version).

I'll try to figure out where you can get it...

Cheers,

Joerg

Hi. I'm Brian (from the Orchestrator videos). Thanks for watching. Glad to hear how excited you are about demoing Orchestrator!

Jörg is correct that some of the actions in the video come from a package that was created for the Orchestrator course (http://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrreg/courses.cfm?ui=www_edu&a=one&id_subject=38842). I am so accustomed to having those actions at my disposal that I didn't stop to realize that viewers like you don't have them. The error is mine.

As Jörg said in his reply to your post, we are working to make the package available. Thank you for your patience.

Find the complete package to the resources used in Brian's videos here:

Thanks Joerg that is a great help

Is there any other packages which would be handy to import? if so where do I download them from?

I think it would be good if there was a repository where you could go to grab this type of stuff for orchestrator packages and workflow which have already been created and shared by users? If there is some where already could you please direct me

Thanks again for the help

+1 for a repository of workflows and packages 🙂

Unfortunately there is no such repository (...yet)

Find some samples available on different blogs:

Also don't forget to see all the other postings in the documents section here in the communities:
