View Variables from completed workflows runs is super slow

Hello,

in vRO 7.3 the Variables from completed workflows runs is are loading super slow in UI. The same Workflows in vRO 7.0.1 have no problem...

Does anyone have similar experiences?

Best Regards,

Markus

Hi,

What type of outputs have the workflows that are slow to show? For example, do they have outputs of some plug-in type like VC:VirtualMachine?

The outputs of a given workflow that are plug-in objects are stored as pairs (type,id), so when they need to be visualized, vRO contacts the external system (eg. vCenter) to resolve the given object by its type and id. And if there is no active session to this system, a new connection should be initialized which may be slow.

BTW, if this is indeed observed for workflows with outputs of type some vCenter object, it could be related to the new vCenter plug-in implementation shipped with 7.3. If you have a test environment, could you check if the performance is improved with the latest tech preview build of vCenter plugin available at https://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-32872

Thanks,

I was not aware of the situation that all the relation of the objects need to be resolved afterwards.

In my Case vCloud Director on vSphere Objects are effected.

My test environment is not that huge to create a meaningful test, sorry.
