VMware vRO vs Cisco UCS Director

Is there any comparison done between vRO and other orchestrators or UCS director?

With UCS director, there are out of box easy integration with Cisco ACI/APIC, and very good plugins for the multiple hardware vendors.

Thanks

Fred

Not sure if there is such direct comparison between vRO and UCS Director.

There is Cisco UCS plug-in for vRealize Orchestrator - https://communities.cisco.com/docs/DOC-71173

This plug-in should provide some options to manage UCS infrastructure.

Users on IT Central Station actually compare Cisco UCS Director more often to VMware vRealize Automation (vRA). This Technical Architect writes, "We have tried Cisco UCS Director, which is an equivalent product and we had a hard time. They haven't matured at all. They have so many issues: bugs. We do a lot of deployment as VMware partners so we have done some deployments where the customer initially thought of going with UCS Director, then they changed their mind because of ongoing issues. Then, they finally went ahead with vRA." You can read the rest of his review here.

I've heard similar feedback about UCSd, although we've not really played with it in our environment.  We use vRO to orchestrate many different platforms and it works fairly well.  We don't use ACI, but we do use the UCS Central plugin for vRO to automate UCS.
