Removing Orchestrator 5.5.3

We just configured orchestrator 5.5.3 (on windows\sql server) that comes with vcenter 5.5.3 and we realized afterwards that we should have just gone directly to the latest version 7.3

We have done nothing in the the 5.5.3 version but configure it to run.   We want to remove it completely and then start over with the 7.3 appliance.

Does anyone know the correct steps for doing this.  I can't find a documentation on removing orchestrator, just on installing it.

thanks

Well, the easiest way is to just stop vCO server and vCO configurator Windows services (and ensuring that they are not marked to start automatically). Another option is to uninstall it from Windows' Add/Remove Programs panel.

BTW, do you plan to deploy vRO 7.3 appliance and continue to use vCenter 5.5.3 ? Some features may not work in this setup; for example, integration with vSphere Web client won't work so you won't be able to run vRO workflows from vSphere Web client.

What about unregistered orchestrator with sso ?

Working with vCenter 5.5.3 for the short term as we are preparing to move to 6.5 with in the month or so.

vRO 7.3 supports SSO authentication with vCenter 6.0 or later - https://docs.vmware.com/en/vRealize-Orchestrator/7.3/com.vmware.vrealize.orchestrator-install-config...

But vCO 5.5.3 and vRO 7.3 are similar enough, so one possible option would be to start working with vCO 5.5.3 now, and then migrate the developed content to vRO 7.3 after you move to vSphere 6.5. You should have no problems with 5.5.3 -> 7.3 migration, just make sure you don't rely on features that were deprecated/removed in 6.x/7.x, like Web Views, SOAP API, plug-ins with Web UI configurations, etc.
