Questions - Identify a Process + killing a Process

Hi All,

I'm new at vCD, I'm trying to find a single process in my guest OS , I tried to use the built in workflow , the issue is that it returns all list of process id's,

I'm looking for a way or a solution on how to identify single process according to name, and of course I need to kill it

Any suggestions will be helpful.

Thanks

Can you share a screnshot?  One way is you can setup a powershell host and write a powershell script to do that.  It is not clear from your question in what way you are doing it.

Hi,

Thanks for reply to me, I want to automate a flow of installing my app on several machines.

I need to install an app, so before I'm doing it I want to check if the process is running and kill it before running the app, The app need to be installed on several virtual machines.

Thanks In advanced.

If you use vCO 5.1 there are a "Get processes from guest" and "Kill process in guest" workflows under vCenter / Guest Operations / Processes.

Thanks on your help.

I did recognize those workflow's, but it seems Get processes from guest is bringing all the process, It seems I don't understand the technique in workflow how to customized a workflow. How I can filter just a process name according to name.

Thanks a lot.
