As anyone worked with workflows that can add disk, then work with LVM (pvcreate/vgcreate/lvcreate/fdisk) ?
I'm trying to attack this problem, but as you might guess... I won't add a new disk if I have the space within the lv. If I also have the space in the vg, I should extend the vg, then the lv and create the partition. If I don't have space in the vg, in that case, I should create a new disk.
And I'm trying to plan a workflow that will be able to handle physical machine and vm. So if anyone has suggestions for scripts that could handle all that, it would help.
I don't like the idea of having to create a new scripts for this, I'm almost sure someone else already did just that, but can't find anything that suits what I need.
