Initial setup of Orchestrator: Plugins not properly configured

vCO_plugins1.png

I've gotten most of the way through the initial config of the vCO 5.1 appliance but I'm getting stuck at this point and am unable to locate what kind of credentials I need to input into the user name: field (I think)

I have successfully configured the Authentication to use our Active Directory, I've created a new group for VCO Administrators and have identified the distinguished name of that group on the Authentication tab.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does it work if you leave these fields just empty?

If not, try the username@domain syntax to specify the username.

Cheers,

Joerg

Well if that isn't the most intuitive answer ever!

I never would have thought to leave it blank.

Thanks TSchoergez!

Just interpreting the "By default Plugins are installed ...." statement on the page 🙂

Glad that it works!

Well now I'm stuck again, all my chicklets are green but I'm totally stumped on how to actually get logged into the Orchestrator App.

I've got it using the VMWare SSO, I've tested logging in on the "test login" tab under authentication but when I try and use that account it shows not authorized.  It is Friday the 13th, maybe I'll just wait until Monday...vCO_login.png

again, try to use administrator@domain (or local computer) syntax to login.

I just needed to dig a little deeper in the user guide (RTFM!)

vcoadmin/vcoadmin

Thing is, I really would have expected the SSO users that I have granted Administrator rights to to have access.

I'll get through it.

Thanks again!
