Forgot the password of Orchestrator Configurator

Is there any way to reset the current password of Orchestrator Configurator? I changed the original password ("vmware") as it was suggested in the Insttallation Guide but forgot it.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Martell,

To reset the password back to vmware, open the C:\ProgramFiles\VMware\Orchestrator\configuration\jetty\etc\password.properties file and save it with this content:

vmware=92963abd36c896b93a36b8e296ff3387

Then restart the vCO Configuration server and log in with vmware/vmware.

This may help and failing that a reinstallation may be required... https://www.vmware.com/pdf/vco_40_install_config_guide.pdf

Sorry, but I couldn't really find anything from the Installation Guide to help me to reset the password. What exactly may help?

In the vCO aplliance the same file is located at

/opt/vmo/configuration/jetty/etc/passwd.properties

you need to login as root in the OS to change it  and then to restart the configurator.
