F5 BIGIP LTM PLUGIN

I saw in a roadmap presentation that a vco plugin for F5 bigip lm was in the works.  Could you suggest approximately when this might be delivered ?

Hi!

AFAIK the F5 Plugin is developed not by VMware, but by F5 themselves.

So you should talk to your F5 Account Manager for more information....

(If you get some news, ask if you can publish them: I'm very interested, too )

F5 and VMware are working together on this. What exact functionality are you expecting from it ?

We want to make sure the most common use cases are covered.

I think we'd want to be able to do the following:

• BIND an IP to the device for use by a Virtual Server / Load Balancing Pool
• Create a new Virtual Server
• Create a Load Balancing Pool (With ability to select a load balancing method)
• Add members to a Load Balancing Pool
• Remove members from a Load Balancing Pool 
• Associate an Existing Health Monitor to an Pool Member
• Retrieve the State (Up/Down) of a member of a Load Balancing Pool

I think your desired features are covered.  We're (VMware & F5) working on the details of getting it released, how to support it, and writing the documentation takes time, as always.
