Empty Orchestrator Control Center

Hi,

I have deployed a vRO 7.3.

After a deployment I logged in to Orchestrator Control Center as root and configured vSphere Authentication mode as described here:

Configure a Standalone Orchestrator Server with vSphere Authentication .

Now I am not able to configure anything in Orchestrator Control Center.

When I Log in with SSO user who is member of configured Admin group I see empty page (see screenshot). There is the only header and footer but no link.

Capture.PNG

And I am not able to log in to Orchestrator Control Center as root because the login page is from sso and it cannot authenticate appliance local user.

Any idea what is wrong?

Thanks for help.

Pavel

Hi,

Could you check if there are some errors in vRO log files under /var/log/vco/ ?

Or you can try to reset the authentication and register it again (although, as this is a clean deployment, it probably won't make any change)

1/ Stop the Control Center service. Execute:
   service vco-configurator stop
2/ Reset the Control Center Authentication provider. Execute:
   /var/lib/vco/tools/configuration-cli/bin/vro-configure.sh reset-authentication
3/ Start the Control Center service. Execute:
   service vco-configurator start
4/ Login to the Control Center with VAMI root credentials.

5/ Unregister and register again the authentication provider

It is exactly what I need.

Thank you very much!

I have realized that when I use AD group for "Admin group" configuration (ie domain.com\admin_group) no member has access to Orchestrator Control Center.

But when I use sso group vsphere.local\administrators where the AD group is as a member it works fine.

May be it would be useful for anybody else...
