Email upon an alert being raised

Hi,

This maybe a pipe dream and maybe something Orchestrator can do....

1. VUM Patches get applied

2. I would like to email the owner of that VM a generic email which states there VM has been patched etc

3. Alternatively i'd like to email out that the VUM Is occuring on a certain date before bein applied for pre warning.

Questions

Can i get orchestrator to fullfill and to email when a raised alert of "patches successfull" happens in item 2?

Hi Daniel,

I am not clear enough on what kind of patches you are mentioning. Is it the update patches on the host/vm/vCenter?

Regarding sending the mails, you can send mails using the Mail plug-in in the vCO, which is shipped and installed by default. Please refer to Mail related workflows in the vCO worklfow library.
