We are using the o11n-package to version control our VCO artifacts. Once a developer is done with his VCO changes we use the import-package to get the package content in the expanded format.
But we're finding out that almost every file is getting marked as modified as there are changes made to <entry key id> field in every xxx.element_info.xml. This virtually makes tracking the changes an impossible task. Our environment has multiple developers developing on the same package on different VCOs (but different workflows in different folder structure) and thus the 'key id' changes are making it hard for a merge to happen.
Is there a way to overcome this ? How are other teams handling this issue ? Maybe we are missing something ?
