Change Windows guest IP address

Hi,

I want to change the IP address through the vRealize Orchestrator, using the VMware Tools.

I've found this Workflow, to change the IP in the guest OS or to run a cusom script, like PowerShell or bash:

Guest script manager package

The problem is, that when I try to run the script, I get a message, that I don't have administrative privileges and that I need to elevate. But I am using a local windows administrator account.

I've read, that I have to disable the UAC, but is there any way, without deactivating it?

Thanks in advance and kind regards

Ok, I used a workaround, to change the IP address of the Windows guest OS.

I disabled UAC, while the MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) deployment, I run a bash script in the guest, with the Guest script manager package, to change the IP address.

At the end, I enable the UAC, using the Guest script manager package and everything is safe again.
