vRealize Operations permission for collector

Hi

we are planning to deploy vRealize Operations 6.2 for 6-node cluster

we have no idea about how to assign permissions for service account or permissions for adapter to collect data from vSphere

we have limitations for some applications and cannot assign highest order permissions to collect data

can anyone help me overview of permissions for vCenter adapter

For "Collection", you'd need, at the vCenter level with propagation enabled:

  • Read Global : Health Storage View : Views

For "Registration", which is done one time when you first configure the adapter instance, you'd need:

  • Extensions : Register, Unregister, Update extensions.

Some people use one account with all the perms, some have two.. it's just customer preference.
