vROps availability - What if a node in a cluster fails

I am trying to figure out the impact on availability of various scenario's when not using vROps 6.7 HA.

My scenario:

a cluster, 1 Master node, 1 Data node and vROps HA is not enabled.

If the Master node fails and the Data node is still operational:

1. will I be able to login to the vROps UI?

2. will the Data node continue to collect data using the adapters it has configured?

3. if an adapter is configured on the Master, will it fail over to the Data node?

If the Data node fails and the Master node is still operational:

4. will I be able to login to the vROps UI?

5. will the Master node continue to collect data using the adapters it has configured?

6. if an adapter is configured on the Data node, will it fail over to the Master node?

I am aware that, with not using vROps HA, data is not redundant available so I will miss some data when a node fails.

Regards,

J-

Simply put

If you are in NON HA mode and you lose any node your cluster will be offline.

The master holds all the customisation ( policies, alarms users access etc) so you can imagine what would happen if you lose it

the data will not have its data replicated to the other nodes so if you lose it the database will be inconsistent and be offline.

Either way it does not matter what was collecting data it wont fail over to the other due to the cluster being offline.

I am basing this on 6.1 but think it still holds true in 6.7
