I'm currently working on an evaluation copy.  Is this why it's not enabled?

what do you mean by not enabled? nothing is supposed to be presented on the lower part of the table for this solution (this is a known issue). Did you try to install an agent ?

Are you sure that this actually requires an agent?  This isn't the standalone hyperic solution, it's vROps 6.1 with Hyperic Integration

Yes.

Previously you had to install hyperic server, point hyperic agents to talk to the server and then install Hyperic MP in vROPs if you wanted to see the data in vROPs.

As for vROPs 6.1, you can install the EP OPs agents and point them directly to vROPs server/node/remote collector and you will see the data in vROPs.

In order to get the OS/App level metrics you will need to install an agent on each one of the machines that you want to monitor.

The link I posted in my previous post includes two additional links showing the agent installation, see:

http://virtual-red-dot.info/vrealize-operations-6-1-end-point-operations/

http://www.vmignite.com/2015/10/vrops-6-1-epo-agents-installation-guide/

If you have any additional doubt, you can check the Hand on Lab (HOL 1601) that include a pre-configured environment about the new Endpoint Agent feature of vRealize Operations 6.1, take a look a module #3 - OS and Applications Management with vRealize Operations Manager.

Hi Ronit,

So if I have 1000 VM, I'll have to install the agent on each of them? Is the agent installable on vrops Nodes?

Thank you.
