vRLI Server Host is Down.

Relatively new to getting this deep in setting up vROPS and running into some issues after upgrading from 6.7 to 8.2 (and Log Insight to 8.2, and fresh Lifecycle Manager, and trying to integrate with vRA 7.6)...

vRLI Server Host is down.Triggered when the vRLI server is not responding

 

the vRLI server is running, it is receiving data from vROPs just fine, the VMware vRealize Log Insight integration is 'OK', 'Validate Connection' tests fine, SDDC Health Adapter says 'vRLI Health' is normal, but 'vRLI Server' is unavailable.

It appears the issues are the 'LogInsight' Adapter (as opposed to the vRealize Log Insight Adapter' adapter, which is failing its 'LogInsightAuth' and 'LogInsightLogServerHost' object types.  What are these, and how are they set?

After an hour of being marked as down, with no other changes made, now it show the vRLI server is up.

Not a very helpful solution for others.
