vCenter Operations extension - connection closed

I think this forum/group is supposed to be for the vCenter Operations product (although the threads I read through seem to allude to this forum being for general operations of vCenter/VMware).  My launch icon has disappeared for launching the vCenter Operations plug-in, and in Plug-in Manager it lists that status of vCenter Operations as Disabled.  The error listed is "The following error occurred while downloading the script plugin from https://10.30.7.239/viClientConfig.xml: the underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send."

the IP address is correct for the vCenter Operations appliance VM, and it is pingable (as well as the responsive to https://10.30.7.239:5480 - the Time Zone configuration; as well as launching the console for the VM of the appliance shows the proper blue screen).

Right-clicking the plugin in Plug-in Manager and selecting "enable" appears to do nothing.  I have rebooting the appliance VM, and even stopped and started the vCenter service on the vCenter service after rebooting the vCenter Operations appliance VM.  Lastly, the licensing page with vCenter shows the vCenter Operations Standard product being valid through 6/30/2011.

Any assistance?
