vCOps 5 appliance VM's have ISO files attached

I have noticed on a couple of recent deployments where we have installed the vCOps 5.0.2 appliance, after it is completed and everything working fine, both the UI and Analytics VM’s have an ISO file attached that lives in the VM folder on the datastore (called “_ovfenv-UI VM.iso” and “_ovfenv-Analytics VM.iso”). Can anyone tell me what these are and if they can be detached? I am guessing it might be used during the initial setup as some kind of answer file, it is only 46KB so presume it’s not needed any more to run the VM’s, but want to make sure before removing them (just from the VM config, will leave the ISO file in place, although if we ever storage vMotion the VM then it will be left behind…).

Cheers

These contain the vApp settings and are used on every restart/reboot, so you should not remove them, eventhough I saw some customers doing so without big issues, but as of the vC Ops support you should keep them...
