vCOPS and monitoring the guest OS

Hello,

I have vCOPS 6 configured in my environment. I am now wondering if vCOPS can monitor the guest OS of my VMs (mostly Windows Server). To my interpretation, Hyperic fills this role. However, I also use SCOM, I know there is an adapter, so could SCOM monitor the guest OS and pass this info back to vCOPS?

Thanks

Hi, GSS344

I used to configure a SCOM adapter with vC Ops 5.x and it worked fine.

vR Ops 6.x has the same SCOM adapter so it will work, too.

* BTW, You will need vR Ops enterprise licenses for the adapter.

Regards,

Ho-Sung
