vCLS VMs not showing in vROps

Hi,

I'm trying to monitor the vSphere Cluster VMs (vCLS VMs) in vROps.
For some reason they are not available.
They don't show up in search result in the Inventory Explorer nor in the Object Browser.

The user configured in the vROps vCenter Adapter is a member of the Administators group in vCenter.

vCenter 7.0.2
vROps 8.6

Any suggestions?

Regards
Bernt

Hi,

Can you create a view and filter these VMs to see if they show up?
Property Summary-> Configuration -> Type   is "SuperVisorControlPlane

I am not sure but if i am correct they are also excluded from licensing in vROps 8.5 and higher.

Hi,

Nice suggestion, but the type "SuperVisorControlPlane" is not an option in my environment.
I only have the opitons "default" and "template".
Seems like vCLS-data is not sent to vROps from vCenter.

These are just VMs which are running in your vCenter inventory.

I think they should be visibile in vRops when having a vCenter/vSphere cloud account configured. I need to check this in a lab to be sure.
