send notification to third-party and license utilization

Currently examining the notification functions of vRealize Operations 8.4.

I found this doc about the notification settings: https://docs.vmware.com/en/vRealize-Operations-Manager/8.4/com.vmware.vcom.core.doc/GUID-86831697-53... and would like to confirm whether vROPS can be configured to send alerts/notifications to third-party apps or not??

The plan is to utilize smartphone apps (e.g. telegram, whatsapp, line...)to receive warnings from vROPS so that the administrators can be informed ASAP and anywhere.

Does anyone know whether this integration is doable or not??

Additionally, can a VCF vROPS(from vrealize suite) license be utilized by a standalone vROPS deployment?

thanks!

Those apps you mentioned are messaging apps and not the highest secure apps out there either.  I would highly recommend you not to forward any company data to those apps.  Second, those apps don't have a server to receive data from a webhook to ingest it.

With that being said with 8.4, you will use webhooks with a combination of custom payloads to send a notification to third party software.  Below is a good link to walk you the steps in more detail.  After some modifications of the payload I got it to work for Netcool, Splunk, etc. You may need another application to receive it from vROPS and forward it off to those messaging apps.
