new VM not detected

Hi,

We've been testing vcenter ops manager for a week now and yesterday, some new VM's have been provisioned but operations manager doesn't show these new VM's.

How long does it take for ops manager to add these new vm's to it's repository. We received alarms about memory usage because of booting up these new VM's but VM's are not shown.

Regards,

John

Hello and welcome to the forums.

I have noticed this as well.  The fix for me has been to log in https://VCOPS:5480 and use the Appliance Administration tab to restart the vCenter Operations service.

Good Luck!

I've restarted the vCenter Operations service and new vm can be found now.

But shouldn't this be done automatically, I don't want to restart the services any time customer is adding new VM.

Thanx.
