I'm trying to do some analysis on IO load generated by different VMs and am using vcops enterprise v5.6.
What's confusing me is that when I look at two different VMs in Operations->Details with the Key Metrics set on the Disk I/O tab i have different metrics
On one I get:
- Virtual Disk Aggregate of all instances | Total Latency
- Disk | Usage Rate(KBps)
- Disk | Workload (%)
- Disk: Aggregate of all insances | Commands per second
and on the other I get:
- Disk Space | Virtual Disk Used (GB)
- Virtual Disk Aggregate of all instances | Total Latency
- Disk | Usage Rate(KBps)
- Disk | Workload (%)
That means I can see IOPS (or commands per second) on one but not the other (which displays Virtual Disk Used instead)
Any idea why this is happening?
I'd also be keen to understand if there is any way I can generate custom reports where I can select the fields I want for my VMs (like I'd like to be able to add IOPS to the virtual machine inventory for an example or create an IOPS report)
