What is the Utilization Index metrics in Operations Overview Dashboard (VROPS) ?

I can see this metrics name is the same for CPU, Memory and disk. But it might be some specific metrics for each type of monitored resource. What is the actual metrics for these objects?

Edit the widget and it will tell you.

The Memory and CPU are contention %

Disk is Latency (ms) which is in the name of the widget

But how the utilzation index value is getting calculated which is still unclear. If you see the above screenshot. utilization is 2.87, we are not sure how where value is coming from and what to understand from this.

Your top VM has 2.87% CPU contention

Contention is a build in metric that is calculated . Check out

It is a predefined Dashboard. I see it is locked. When I tried to edit it, it shows "Not allowed to manage shared tabs."

is it because I don't have privilege to do it or because it is a predefined dashboard?

Must be the account you are using. I am using the local admin and i can edit it
