Vrom vs vdi desktop refresh rate

Hello,

I installed VROM 6.5 for horizon  and 6.4 agent on our desktop vm.

When a user logging in on a VDI desktop, VROM show it's metrics around 5 minutes later...

Can we change that polling interval somewhere ?

thank you

Yes, go to Administration -> Inventory Explorer. Select the Adapter Instance for which you wish to change the polling time. Edit the adapter, scroll down to Advanced, and change the Collection Interval value as seen.

Before you do this, you need to be very cautious in doing so, because reducing this number will cause vROps to store much more data than it does currently. As a result, if not properly sized (or even if not oversized enough) you could run out of storage space inside the appliance and bring it down. Only change this value if you know absolutely sure what you're doing.

Thank you daphnissov,

I changed the setting and now it's polling at every 2 minutes.

Another question, at the first polling my workstation session state= logoff

after the second polling, 2 minutes after session state = connected

Do you have an idea why is logoff first and connected after ?

Thank you

I have not used vROps in conjunction with View, so I can't say for certain.

I know it is old post but like to share the reason why? it is showing as logoff in first pull

During your first pull, VDI is under configuring state and shows user as logoff

after two minutes [on 2nd pull], I think user got the desktop and it is showing as connected, I can give a try and test for you, will update
