VM Memory Workload Greater than 100 Screnario

I want to understand VM Memory Workload Greater than 100. Lets assume VM has 2GB vRAM Configured and this 2GB vRAM VM Demanded from Hypervisor as hypervisor has resources, it gets satisfied. Now Guest OS is demanding more memory but as VM is configured with 2GB Memory, It can only demand max. 2GB from hypervisor. Can VM Memory Workload can be greater than 100 in this scenario?

I dont know if the workload calculation is published by vmware ( if it is i am sure someone here will post it)

Your vm has 2gb provisioned memory if your VM uses less than 2gb then its demand will be lower than 100% if the VM is undersized then the demand can be higher than 100% for example the VM has a demand of 150% then you would need to add at least another 1.25gb ram ( 1gb,  50% of 2gb and bit for overhead)

If the demand is higher than than usage but lower than provisioned then you may have contention

Memory demand is how much memory the VM would use if it were not constrained by anything (memory size, other VMs on the host, etc) I do be leave that demand is part of the workload calculation so yes it can be higher than 100%
