Unable to get rid of empty health alert

I have several hosts that connect to a couple of NFS datastores.  One day, we had an outage that took one offline.  8 hosts were still showing the alert that they lost connectivity to the NFS server.  When I would try to cancel them I would get an error that they were owned by someone else, but the assigned user field was empty.  I would get a similar error when I would try to take ownership, even as the admin or root user.  I found some instructions online detailing how to remove them from the database.  They are gone now, but the Top Health Alerts entry is still on the Recommendations dashboard.  I have found no way to get rid of this entry.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks in advance!
