Hello,
I am trying to create a TOP-N Analysis that will show me for a specific host the physical latency (doesnt matter which one) for all the LUNs (not DataStores) that are connected to this host.
didnt succeed of creating it, help will be highly appreceated
thanks.
By LUN, I assume you're meaning storage 'devices' that are instantiations under a host (as opposed to EMC/Netapp LUN RKs). You're trying to do a Top-N on instantiated metrics. That capabilities does not exist in vC Ops 5.8.1. You could do a supermetric to show you the max value of the highest lun latency, but you wouldn't be able to see what the LUN name is.
Out of interest, why do you want for the top-N LUN metric to be per-host? Why not Top-N datastores period (irrespective of which host the IO was coming from)? Would love to understand the use case a little more.
