Stress Vs Contention

Hi

What is the is the relation / diff between Stree and Contention. vROps says I have CPU strees 80% for the hole week while  Contention for one day. I am assuming should be realtion between the two mertics But I clould udnerstand this analysis from vROps

Stress is the utilisation of a resource that goes above a threshold defined in your policy. If you set your "Stress zone" at 70% and above and a VM's CPU usage goes into that "Stress zone" it will be classed as stressed

Contention is to do with a resource waiting to long to access the physical hardware. Nothing to do with utilisation used in the stress calculation.

Stress is a zone (70% or above by default)

Usage is usage
