Storage: Advanced Performance Charts in the vSphere Client

In advanced performance charts - there are at least four different metrics related to storage: Datastore, Disk, Storage adapter, Storage path.

Is there a good resource which can drill into precisely what is being monitored in each of those perspectives? How could they be best used

together to analyze overall performance of a storage array and the network to the storage array? Thank you.

Thank you Alessandro. I've downloaded the eval bits for vROM. Surprisingly they haven't

gotten it yet at the new gig. But hopefully I can convince them of it. Do you know where

I could get the Storage Analytics and Unified Storage Visibility managemenet pack to

add into the vROM? I don't see it in the Eval options Evaluate VMware Products

and I don't see a link for it on the page where it's described https://www.vmware.com/products/vrealize-operations/unified-management.html

Hi,

It may be released by the hardware vendor. Try searching on the brand page of your hardware, you should find tools that integrate with VRO. as in this EMC link.
