Hi,

SNMP is used in vC Ops to send SNMP trap to another external monitoring systems...thus vC Ops alerts send out.

If you want to monitor devices using SNMP you need to use Hyperic. Hyperic do have a SNMP collection and then these stats can be colelcted from vC Ops from Hyperic by means of the Hyperic vC Ops Adaptor.
