Resource health

Hi,

The health shown in for a particular resource in the environment overview page and the resource detail page isn't same, what does these infer / what is the difference between these.

Attached are the screen shots taken at the same time for the same resource

Thanks,

Charan

This is due to the fact that there are actually 2 different items being referenced here.

One is defined as the Self-Health Score and the other is the Health Badge.    A Badge is an overall score but health score is a metric value derived from the other self metrics that roll-up to make the number.

Think of it this way, badges are scores out of 100 but the Self-Health score is a metric derived from the other badge metric rollups.

Example, you can see the Anomalies Badge is 2 but the Self-Anomaly Count is showing 15, which is a count of the active anomalies.  For that resource, the badge is 2 because in the grand scheme of things 15 count is normal for that resource.

BTW, the way the Health Badge is displayed has changed in vROPs as you will now not see a number displayed, which is by design to help minimize the confusion.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
