Report for Horizon Dedicated Pools

Hi,

We would like to create a Dashbord/Report for Horizon Dedicated Pools.

We need to report how many desktops is already assigned to users and how many is available for assignment (MaxDesktops minus Already assigned).

I cannot find correct metrics.

Is there possibility to report it?

Thanks for help.

Maybe You can use this free tool:

Horizon Reach | VMware Flings

Hi Fabio,

Thanks for your tip.

We are working in secure environment and we cannot use software with no support.

Anyway we have vROM so we would like to use it for reporting.

And it looks that Reach calculates Used Capacity based on Session count (same as vROM).

There is no reason to use Session count for Dedicated pools.

If any already assigned desktop is not used by its user it still cannot be assigned to another user.

Hi KabirAli82,
Would you be more specific, please?
Which one do you believe is metric for "already assigned desktops" or "not assigned desktops"?

Hi,

It's been some time since I created that dashboard for a client, I don't have access to that clients environment anymore. So I'm not 100% sure but I would say check out:

Desktop VMs|Connected -> for connected VDIs

Desktop VMs|Disconnected -> for disconnected VDIs

Remote Sessions|Sessions -> for connected users

Remote Sessions|Session Count -> for connected users

Unfortunately it is not information we need.

All those metrics are based on sessions.
