Re: vC Ops Logs

Hello guys,

How can i retrive the logs from analytics and UI Vm. from custom dashboard support i can get some of the logs. what does these logs refer to? Does the logs in analytics and UI VM and Logs custom Dashboard Support are same?

I need to check the logs because my vcenter is loosing connection to vcops but they are not unregistered. The Admin webpage shows that they are registered to vC Ops but lost the connection to vCenter? Anybody faced this issue?

Any experts answer me please. i am using vcops 5.0.3 ENT

You can get a bundle with all logs from Admin UI.

1. Go to https://<vcops-ip>/admin

2. Login with "admin" account

3. Open Status tab

4. Click Download button under "Diagnostic information" section.

This will download a zip file with all logs budled inside.

I hope this helps.

I got the Log file from admin page but it has lot many text files like host manager, catalina and lock files. What does these files represent? Can any body explain about these log files?
