Powered Off VM timestamp.-

I want to add to a customized report the days since the shut down of a machine. I can't find a metric or a property that keeps that value. I tried with a supermetric as shown in https://www.tilkens.com/2019/10/tracking-vm-powered-off-duration/, but it only works with the vms that exists while the metric was created.

Is there any metric or property that keeps that value?

Thanks in advance.

Gustavo.-

Hi,

There is no OOTB metric or property that will count the number of days. Eventho a super metric will get you far, I think its better to write a script for this...

Do you have Log Insight?
You could also use vRLI alerting to know exactly when a VM was powered off as this information is in the logs.
