Policy Change alert

Does anyone know of a way to alert if an objects ( CDC, Cluster) policy changes.

We have 30 policies applied to different environments and i have seen some object for whatever reason change back to the default policy. Is there away to create an alert that will trigger when a policy changes. All our policies have our company name in them so was thinking of a symptom something like if the policy name does not contain the company name then trigger the alert.

Only way I can think of off hand is to create a vRO workflow that makes a REST call to vRO and compares an existing object/container's policy to a reference that you set and performs an action (email, SNMP trap, whatever) when that deviates. The workflow would be scheduled on a recurring basis within vRO.
