Pausing alerts for objects

Hi

While preparing some new hosts and configuring their networks, I keep getting alerts of the host being down or losing network redundancy etc. The alerts are correct, but since I'm still working on this host, I don't want to receive any alerts.

Is it possible to put a host (or for other reasons, any  other object) into a "pause" mode and hold all alerts for that object?

And it would very cool if there is a daily alert that tells me that this set of objects is in pause mode.

Using the Custom UI, put the Host System resource in to maintenance mode. This cannot be done in the Advanced UI, as you can only suspend/suppress specific alerts in the Advanced UI.
