Next version of vROPs

Hello,

does anybody know the schedule for the next release of vROPs?

We are planning to upgrade our vSphere environments to 6.7

and saw, that vROPs 7.0 has a security policy that doesn't

include 6.7, up to 6.5 is supported....

Or is there an official policy we could import?

I have not  heard any such policy for vsphere 6.7 from vrops 7.0 for Security compliance .

From the release notes I can see :

SDDC Compliance

To ensure compliance of your vSphere 6.7, 6.5, 6.0, and 5.5 objects, vRealize Operations Manager 7.0 includes compliance alerts for VMware vSphere Hardening Guide versions 6.5, 6.0, and 5.5. These hardening guide alerts are based on the corresponding object type.

Hi,

The policy name is "vSphere Security Configuration Guide",

as far as I understand, it includes the compliance alerts for 5.5, 6.0 and 6.5

but doesn't include the compliance alerts for 6.7. I wanted to know, whether

there will be a newer version of the policy, downloadable. Or when a newer

version of vROPs will be available, with the compliance alerts for 6.7.

vSphere 6.7 was released in April 2018 and vRealize operations 7.0 in September 2008, so I assume the compliance alerts for 6.7 are included in vRealize Operations 7.0.

Perhaps that jddias or sunnydua201110141 can provide more clarity about this.

There isn't yet coverage for 6.7 or 6.7U1 in the compliance content in vROps 6.7 or 7.0.  To my understanding we will be bringing compliance current in the next release.

Probably in Q1 2019.

Confirmed with PM that the content will be based on 6.7U1 in the next release.  Sorry but I can't comment on release dates - but Rick is probably close :smileysilly:
