Mix of vCloud Suite & Enterprise Plus ESXi hosts for vrealize operations manager

Hi,

In a number of vCenters we have hosts licensed as vCloud Suite which includes the use of vrealize against them but inside the same vCenter there are also hosts which are only using the Enterprise Plus license.

Is it still ok to use vRealize Operations manager in this vCenter? Or do all ESXi hosts need to be licensed to cover off the use of vRealize Ops Manager

Thanks.

I think you have to create a licence group and exclude the hosts that are not vcloud suite. You will then need to remove the user account that you used when setting up the adapter from the hosts that are not vcloud suite to stop the collection of them. I am not a vrops licence expert so if someone else knows different please jump in

When you configure the adapter instance in vROps you can use an account that has limited access to vCenter and assign that account access to only the hosts that are licensed.  We currently do this at the cluster level in vCenter so the vROps account only has access to certain clusters that are licensed hosts and it can't see or collect any data from the others.
