Migration to new datastore fails

vCenter  4.1.0

vSphere client 4.1.0

ESX 4.0.0

I have 5 hosts in a cluster and I am trying to move a VM from one datastore to another datastore.  When I attempt to migrate it I am able to proceed through all of the screens (destination, etc.) w/o incident and the task is submitted.  The task will sit at the bottom of the vSphere client screen for several minutes in the "Copying Virtual Machine Files In Progress" state.  After several minutes pass an error is popped up "Relocation virtual machine, Cannot connect to host" with the time, target, and vcenter server listed.

We've migrated vms across datastores for years and now all of the sudden it won't allow it.  Anybody seen this before and know what might be causing it?

Please take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1010837 to find out whether this can help.

Thanks, but that didn't help.  Don't have a problem with IP addressing.

Do you see any other errors/messages in the vpxd log?

You can find these log files on your vCenter Server. Please see Location of vCenter Server log files (1021804)
