Migrate vROps Analytics Cluster Nodes

I have a 10-node vROps 6.7 Analytics Cluster that I would like to migrate to a different vSphere Cluster. Is there a preferred method to do this? i.e; live migration or take the cluster offline first?

Personal i would take it offline first (i would even power off the nodes) At least that way you will not have any database problems with the vmotion or data problems with the storage vmotion.

One thing i have learned is go with the safest option

Agreed. Shut down the entire cluster, then migrate it. Best not to roll the dice on a cluster that large.

Thanks. That was my preferred approach, I thought there may have been something from VMware on the topic.

It'd probably work and be fine either way because it's just a svMotion operation and there aren't systems which are and aren't qualified for that, but I just think it's safer with the entire cluster shut down.
