Is it possible to unroll an algorithm based on alerts ?

Hello,

I have 2 questions concerning vROPs alerting.

1 - Is it possible to unroll an algorithm based on alerts using vROPs 6.1 in order to trigger an another upper alert ?

Let me give you an example : Is it possible to create a notification, if an alert is triggered on my datastores AND on my windows services ?

2 - This question joins the first... I have installed EP agent on some VMs, and I monitor many services. Is it possible to trigger an alert if an association of specific services is stopped ?

1. Yup, create an alert that apply to a Virtual Machine, set it to have symptoms that targets Child or Descendants and those symptoms be for the windows service and datastore object types. 2. Are you asking if you can alert on the association of the Windows Service to the EPO agent/Windows OS goes away? Or if the service goes down? No on the former, Yes on the latter.
