We're using vRops 8.6 with the built-in Service Discovery (SDMP). We have several SQL servers, and I would like to leverage vRops to get information about the SQL instances it "sees" via SDMP.
Specifically, I'd like to get all the services of type "MS-SQL DB", get several of each service's properties (Category, Install Path, Version), and associate each service with its VM.
So, if I have 20 services of type "MS-SQL DB", I should get several properties per service, and one VM per service ... right?
If what I'm trying to do isn't possible, or not the best way to get this info, that's fine. It's just that I see the information I want in the GUI yet I can't figure out how to pull the information I want out. Thanks in advance.
