I cant really help you with an report.

But when you disable an alert it gets disabled in the policy.

If you have 1 policy for all your VMs, then that alert gets disabled for all those VMs.(easy)

If you have multiple policies then you need to check the associated VMs for that policy. (be sure to lookup the disabled alert(s) before hand)

Thanks for that idea.   I can use it for something else.

I am trying to find out if any VMs,  hosts or other objects have had the Alarms fully disabled so that I can be sure to turn them back on.

As stated the only real way is to check the policies the the objects are associated with and see if they have the alarms disabled.

Is it a specific alarm/alarms as there are many. You can select the alert definition and see what policies it is enabled in and backward engineer what objects it is disabled on by looking at the objects accociated with policies not listed

it is not a specific alert.   It is the overall ALARMS setting on a VM or Host

right click a VM in vCenter --> go to Alarms --> Click disable.

that disables all alerts for that VM.   Same can be done on VM hosts

Ok that is different to what i thought you asked.

You want to do a vrops report to list what object's in vcenter have the vcenter alarms disabled not what objects in vrops have the vrops alerts disabled. I dont think vrops will have that. I could be wrong

LOL! I tought the same as sxnxr

Maybe this PS script will help you with your request;

Or have a look here;

AFAIK vROps is not aware of Alarms you enable or disable in vCenter...
