Host has lost connection to vCenter server

Is it possible to make vROPS not send this alert when the node is in maintenance mode, and/or is there a way to mute alerts for nodes you are working on?

Alert Definition Name: Host has lost connection to vCenter Server

Alert Definition Description: The host has been unexpectedly disconnected from vCenter Server. The virtual machines on the host have also lost connectivity to vCenter Server. The host might not have a problem and the virtual machines on the host might be running as expected, but any configuration, data, and events from the host and its virtual machines are lost.

You should not be getting this vROps alert just by putting a host into maintenance mode. You may get it however when rebooting a host after performing some maintenance.

If you wish to not alert on anything for a certain object in vROps, then you can put objects into maintenance mode as per this blog post: Maintenance Mode in vRealize Operations - VMware Cloud Management - This will stop vROps alarms triggering for your hosts for example.

Good luck!
