We've been running vRealize Operations manager for a while now and I really like the reclaimable capacity features, however sometimes I find that they can be a little over aggressive on the numbers that they provide, especially on bursty workloads.
We have a lot of data processing machines that churn through chunks of data at 5, 10, and 15 minute intervals. Right now, the metrics are mostly left to the defaults but I would like to fine tune them to make the recommendations a little more accurate. So far I have tried setting the "stress" metric to 60% instead of the default 70%, but that doesn't seem to make much of a difference. What are the other settings I should be looking at?
I remember looking at a guide someone had wrote a while back for version 5, but I can't seem to find it now and we are on 6.7 anyway. If anyone knows of some good guides out there and can point me in their direction, I would certainly appreciate that as well.
